Not every program fits every person. If this one hasn’t helped yet, CBTi can still work for you.
Too short: If you’re at 4 weeks, keep using all the CBTi components for 4 more weeks. If you’re not satisfied after 8 weeks, try a different CBTi program.
Bad timing: Travel, illness, caregiving, or an unpredictable schedule can stall your progress. Re-start this program or start another one when you’re ready to fully engage.
Other sleep problems: Sleep apnea, restless legs, and other sleep problems can limit the impact of CBTi. Once these are treated, CBTi can be tried again. See your health care professional to discuss other possible sleep problems and their treatments.
Format: Self-help approaches like this workbook help many people, but some may need extra guidance. Consider another CBTi format. While the core components are the same, therapists (and some advanced digital programs) offer a wider range of techniques that can be tailored to your needs.
